The Middle East is suffering from years of war and severe economic collapse, which has additionally led to the closure of businesses with the spread of the Corona virus. In Iraq, Lebanon, Syria and Turkey, the already difficult economic and monetary crisis is worsening. The consequences are manifested in an unstable food situation and are pushing the health system to its limits. With financial support from St. George Anglican Church Berlin and the Lions Club Berlin, Christmas parties were organized in Lebanon, Syria and Iraq. Gift packages were made for the children and distributed to them, which created great enthusiasm and joy. In Tur Abdin (Turkey), a Christmas campaign by Syriac Cross took place for the first time. 480 school bags were distributed in different villages.
