Olaf-Taw Educational Institution
Olaf-Taw is an educational institution based in northeastern Syria that specializes in teaching the Aramaic language (Suryoyo). Modern curricula have been designed to pursue this learning goal. A project was launched with the support of Caritas Slovakia to purchase child-friendly materials and cartoons. The aim is to help children deepen/acquire their language skills in Aramaic. In addition, the cartoons will be accompanied by music recorded by trainers on the piano. These recordings will be played to other children to promote mutual appreciation and tolerance. As children from different ethnic groups attend the institution, the values are transferable. The children learn to respect diversity and experience the advantages of different cultures.
