Nineveh Plains, Iraq – Business Start-Ups
Since the liberation of the Nineveh Plains, establishing sustainable livelihoods has remained one of the key priorities. This year, together with our local member organization, Beth Nahrin Organization for Women (BNOW), we expanded our efforts by launching five new businesses, further strengthening an ongoing initiative that has already supported over 100 enterprises in the region. The latest additions—a sewing atelier, a cooling business, a men’s clothing store, a printing house, a bakery, a car repair shop, a barber, a restaurant , a cosmetics store—demonstrate our commitment to fostering economic growth and addressing local needs. These businesses not only provide stable livelihoods for their owners and employees but also enrich their communities by offering essential goods and services, contributing to the long-term recovery and resilience of the region.
