Beekeeping-Project in Midin (Turkey, Tur Abdin)

In the village of Midin, Tur Abdin, we supported a specialized beekeeping livelihood project focused on the production of organic honey, implemented in partnership with our member organization Süryani Dernekler Federasyonu (SÜDEF).

Unlike conventional income-generating activities, beekeeping follows a seasonal cycle, presenting both challenges and opportunities for local communities. Through this support, we help sustain a traditional craft while promoting environmentally friendly honey production and strengthening economic self-sufficiency.

By preserving this age-old practice, the project empowers local beekeepers to secure sustainable livelihoods, protect biodiversity, and safeguard their cultural heritage, laying the groundwork for a more resilient future.
